Prioritize regular doctor visits, aiming for at least one health check-up annually. Additionally, consider the following suggestions to improve your overall well-being.

Beware of delicious sugar drinks! It is an easy habit to form without realizing it.

Sugar-sweetened drinks are a huge source of added sugars and calories in our diet. Not only will you notice weight loss, but your teeth will thank you!

  • Choose smaller-sized sodas and sweetened coffees instead of extra-large and large ones.
  • Measure or count the creamers and sugars added to coffee and teas.
  • Add plenty of ice to soda to dilute the sugar content.
  • Switch to diet soda for a sugar-free alternative.

Monitor glucose levels with an expert eye at least four times per day.

  • 80mg/dl to 130mg/dL are normal levels for waking up in the morning and before all meals.
  • Aim for less than 180mg/dL two hours from the start of a meal.
  • Try for equal to or less than 100mg/dL at bedtime.
